Burn Notice was easily the best overall show this summer season. Well written, directed, and cast in my opinion. I like Psyche too but I thought this season was a little bit of a let down compared to last season. I usually Tivo everything and watch things when I can. Currently I am Tivo-ing:
HouseDr. WhoBSGEureka*Monk (wify likes it alot, I think it is okay but starting to get a bit stale)PsycheBurn Notice*Weeds (hilariously funny show. Kevin Neelan and whoever the character who play's Andy is are both excellent.)DexterHeroes*Lost4400
* -- I try to make time to watch these live or as near-live as possible. Usually I wait 20 minutes so I can fastforward thru the commericals.
Burn Notice was easily and by far the best show of the summer season hands down. Well, written and directed and an awesome cast too. It doesn't hurt that it is set in Miami South Beach either. ;) The second best show of the summer season I would say was 4400. Decent writing although they have cheaped out a couple of times on longterm plot lines in my opinion. Psyche was neck and neck for second place although I think it fell a bit short. Eureka was also very well written thise season and SciFi already picked it up for a third. If people didn't catch these shows over the summer I would definitely rent the past season(s) from Netflix or Blockbusters. They are definitely worth watching.Checking out or currently renting previous seasons:
Life (same reason Will)Chuck (good for laughs probably will rent)Journeyman (I thought the premiere was excellent)EntourageOffice (rent it, love it but don't have time for it)I just orderd season 1 & 2 of Dr Who redux on DVD. Season 3 comes out in early Nov. I believe. This season has been really excellent. I especially like the Weeping Angels episode. It was pretty creepy and very unique. A baddy who never moves once in the episode but is more ominous and threatening and scary because of it and the Dr. isn't physically in the episode until the very end. If you check out one episode from the new series, watch that one or the WW II episode from Season 1.
How could you guys even have a discussion about television and not even think about mentioning "Reno 911"!?
Other than that, it's "The Office", and "Heroes". I hear Boston Legal is good. Never seen it.
