You'll notice a "new" forum, The Vault. Those who were around a long time will remember this from a previous version of the site. It's a place for me to stick threads that aren't really timely any longer, but I like to have them around in case somebody wants to search for a topic.
I intend to cull old topics from other forums, just haven't gotten there yet. I don't have the free time I used to.
I made the "next" tournament pinned to the top of the (freshly trimmed) Tournaments forum. I intend to do this in the future.
I'm going to be somewhat more clear about stressing certain tournaments. Currently, my plan is to list ALL events I know of, but mark certain ones that I feel deserve special mention either from the age groups, venue, and/or strength of field expected.
I was thinking about starting an email list, but then it occured to me. USE THIS SITE AND IT'S FORUMS! it's a great site, and John put a lot of work into making it probably the easiest-to-use site for a fencing club I've ever seen. No excuses for missing a notice, you have the internet!

Oh yeah, and I'm not going to trim "General Babble" and some others...it's babble, do you actually need moderated babble? I seriously doubt it.

Culled a few more old topics to "The Vault"
Removed some old web links, updated a couple. I intend to repopulate, with quite a bit, but over time...
Temp hid the Calendar Page, since a glance at it showed a number of things incorrect, which explains the weird questions some students have been asking...I just don't have the time to maintain this right this second. I think the This Week @ NFC will have to do for now.
Creating an online fencing course, to accompany the RL classes. Again, like most things, it isn't a full time thing, so it will happen slowly, over time.

That's a lot for today!

Pruned the announcements forum, moving anything related to long-past events, and info that wasn't in effect any longer.

Wednesday August 1st:

Added more strips to Monday DG practice. Now 4-6 strips instead of a max of 3...so that's nice! Of course, we'll have these available at all locations.
Updating the "info" page, I've taken some pictures to swap out old ones, although I'm keeping the one of Gregory and Mercedes, because I think that's a really good picture. The old ones from the barn and such are going away though. This won't happen right away, as I still want to take a couple of individual shots as well.
"next class" listings will go in the info page as well, with a notice on the front page.
Wednesday location is currently waiting on the school system. I'll update on this thread.

Updated the this week @ NFC box
auth'd some users of the website which I should of gotten to before, sorry folks, it's my fault.
removed membership tag for some users who haven't fenced (or even said hi) in more than 2 years...because,
I'm planning a revamp of the content of the members forum, with the intention of placing a great deal of class materials online to save time, and boost website useage. We've got this fantastic website, we need to start making proper use of it. Membership will have it's privileges. Plus, looking forward to the new wednesday program, we'll have to have more detailed membership accounting and access.

Changed the front page to ref the "Club Info" page.
Added a new action shot, from DG
Added a new art shot, also from DG
Removed the old barn action shot (which I was never happy with anyway)
Wrote an entirely new (and longer) info blurb for the info page
Added "next class" info on the info page

Things I have every intention of doing...

Re-formatting the info page to create a nicer look for the photos (thumbs, etc)
Creating a "Next Class @ NFC" box for either the info or front pages, simular in concept to the "This Week @ NFC" box.

Also, all these photos I had to upload onto my personal site, and link from the club site. This isn't a big deal, but its not a clean way of doing it.
