I have bad news. Stas Krivosheev died early Tuesday morning from injuries sustained in a car accident Monday night. His father, Oleg, was driving him home from practice when they were clipped, sent into the next lane, and struck by another car. Stas was 17 and Tatiana and Oleg's only child. He was a senior at Peachtree Ridge High School and a dedicated sabre fencer at Nellya Fencers. And a first chair cellist. And at the top of his class. Stas was the 2004 and 2006 Georgia men's sabre champion. He earned his B earlier this year. Stas was really smart but not arrogant. He trained relentlessly to improve his own fencing but would patiently work with younger kids and new fencers. He was funny but never at anyone's expense - except maybe his own. He was a great teammate. We will miss him so much. Stas's services will be Saturday October 21st at 11 am at H. M. Patterson and Son-Arlington Chapel. H. M.
