This thread is for posting any plans and changes for the Monday classes in Downer's Grove which begin June 11th.
We'll start off with June 11th itself:
4pm-Kids Beginning Epee
5pm-Adult/Teen Beginning Epee
6pm-Advanced Epee

The two beginning classes will be starting off with:

Two short laps around the gym and some stretching
Guard position, advance, and Retreat
Lunge
Leader/Follower
Lunge with weapon

The Advanced classe will:

4 laps, stretching
Footwork Drill
Two-step
Guard Jumps/Star Jumps/Ball catch.
Open Fencing, 5-touch bouts.

To my delight, there were a number of additions to the class at the last minute, so there were some adjustments, but the classes went very well!

For week 2, this coming Monday the 18th, the beginning classes will:

Run a couple of laps, stretch a little bit,
"The Footwork Drill"
Learn how to put on the equipment,
Rules and Cards,
Saluting and Etc,
And fence the rest of the class!

Week 3, we'll get back to the punishing routine...

The Advanced class will cover some turf we didn't get to last night:

Running 4 or so laps, Stretch.
"Will's Partner Madness" (tm) - a collection of crazy hard drills involving equipment, plyo, and all sorts of human cruelty. You won't die, but expect this to be really hard on just about every part of your body.
Fencing, of course.
