End of July progress update:
Currently, we're waiting for a specific person within the system to return from their vacation before more progress can be made.

Update Aug. 10th:
I heard last night our document(s) have been faxed to four people, and a we could know for sure as early as next week.

Although it's not at all clear what's taking so long, as of last night (Sept 17th) someone in the school system was spoken to, and it's still in the works, just taking a while.

Please read the notice on the FRONT page of the site...
Just got off the phone, and location is set, we have the cafetera of Scullen Middle School, year round. Located near the intersection of 103rd and Rt. 59, in Naperville. Beginning dates TBA, as there's some paperwork to fill out, but I'll get it cleared ASAP! Here's the notice I put on the front page just now.

Breaking News - NFC will be adding a new Naperville location on Wednesday evenings, at Scullen Middle School. The format will be open fencing, with lessons available. Membership information is as discussed in our forums (go read them), and complete details, such as beginning dates, and registration details TBA soon. Registration will be directly through NFC, not a 3rd party.

Well, I know I'm looking forward to it, however you arrive. That's the beauty of this new Wednesday. Short of the dangerous or abusive, of course. I have to call the schools today, since as it turns out, they left out information on the forms they gave me...such as the correct address for the insurance form...otherwise known as the ONLY information I asked for or need. After that, I'm hoping to have a start date within a week or two.

update for today:
Insurance completed, got proof this morning, completed all (as far as I know) paperwork, faxed all of it and the insurance over about an hour ago. I've requested the start date of 11/7, so that's two weeks from tomorrow. I figured Halloween wouldn't be a good start date for SO many reasons. As soon as I hear back in a positive way about this, I'll plaster the world with notices, as always. 11/21 would be the off day for Thanksgiving and one week off in the spring for Spring Break.
