I have resigned as secretay of the illinois division

Due to the continuing meddling and constant illegal (illegal in the bylaw and USFA rules sense, not criminal) activities by many in this division, I've decided I can no longer contribute the countless hours towards making things in this division work. If people would prefer to do things in a corrupt and underhanded way, they can do so without me. I am pleased to have been able to contribute at least a little bit to the improvement of the local fencing scene, and I strongly suggest any readers be vocal and involved in the operations of the division. There hasn't been an election or legal annual meeting in several years, and most of the bylaws are never followed. While the national office has never been the best (losing every officers report I've EVER sent them for the last three years, and more that 50% of the financial reports as well), the IL division went from blatent cheating on tournament reports to actually following the majority of the USFA's rules. If fencers don't pay attention and become familiar with the rules, things will revert back to the way they were. Please don't allow this to happen, and demand service...it's what you're paying for! Demand rule compliance in the operations of the division, and tournaments. If you don't, things will go back to the way they were. If you think this message is of any importance, please feel free to pass it on to other fencers.

I am sorry you had to resign. Things seemed to be working well and we seemed to be moving in a positive direction. I understand that you have to do what you have to do though.

Sorry to hear about this Will. I think you will be sorely missed. Thanks for all your effort to make things easier and better for us fencers. It was truly appreciated.
